Explore our extensive product range within each category to delve into the specifics of our industry-leading offerings.

Light Curtains

Safety Light curtains are electro sensitive devices using one or more light beams, emitted by an Emitter and received by a Receiver, to create an intangible controlled area.  These series are available from Flotronics Automation:

  • EOS4
  • Admiral
  • Safegate
  • Janus
  • EOS2
  • Vision

Controllers & Interfaces

Safety controllers are capable of monitoring several safety sensors and commands, such as safety light curtains, laser scanners, photocells, mechanical switches, mats, emergency stops, two-hand controls, concentrating management of these in a single, flexible device.

Safety interfaces are dedicated interfaces between safety devices equipped with self-controlled safety static outputs and control circuits of the machine or plant.

These series are available from Flotronics Automation:

  • Mosaic

Sensors & Safety Devices

Contactless sensors – Magnetic, Inductive and RFID safety switches for position control of movable guards. The Contactless safety sensors are used to monitor the position of the safety devices sliding, hinged or removable.

Safety encoders – Safety Sin/Cos incremental encoder for any applications requiring speed monitoring of a rotating axis.

Safety interlock switch with guard door locking – Mechanical, electrical or other type of safety device, the purpose of which is to prevent the operation of hazardous machine functions under specified conditions (generally as long as a guard is not closed).

Laser scanner – AOPDDRs (Active Opto-electronic Protective Device responsive to Diffuse Reflection) measures the distance between the objects that fall into its sensing field by means of the small fraction of energy that is re-diffused by the objects themselves in axis with the direction of emission. AOPDDRs do not need a cooperating target for their operation, especially where the protected area is mobile, as is the case with AGVs, or where it is necessary to vary the position and size of the protected area during the production process.

Measurement Light Curtains

Light curtains for industrial and civil applications where it is necessary to detect, measure, and recognise objects.

Depending on the number and position of the beams engaged by an object, the measurement sensors can provide real time information to a PLC or PC in order to: detect the presence or absence of objects, perform a count, detect a position, detect a shape or a profile, measure dimensions

About ReeR

ReeR was established in 1959 to distribute components for industry, lighting, and home automation. By the mid-70s, the first safety sensors were developed, and afterward, the first light curtains were produced. Technological excellence and application know-how embody the spirit of ReeR.

In the U.S. market, they have developed a motivated team of educated and experienced individuals who are here to work with their distributors to meet the needs and of customers. Flotronics Automation and ReeR are excited to problem-solve and build customer solutions for the automation industry.  ReeR strives to stay ahead of the technology curve and stand next to its partners and customers throughout the process of innovation.

Today, ReeR is both the leading company in Italy as well as one of the main world manufacturers of optoelectronic sensors for industrial safety. The export activity of the safety division outlines the company’s global expertise, and its network of skilled distributors provides an accurate support service to their customers based in more than 50 countries.

ReeR product quality is guaranteed by the TÜV-certified quality system, according to the ISO 9001 standard. Every light curtain, safety controller, and safety sensor is tested for quality to ensure proper function at the time of installation.

ReeR’s Industry Expertise: 15% of our personnel are employed in the R&D department, with expertise in safety hardware, software, and firmware. Furthermore, ReeR is one of the main players in the standardization process development, and they take part in the most important national and international organizing committees on machine safety requirements.
